The home of unique Renault personalised car prints set in a presentation mount direct from the artist Paul Bennett GMA.
Founded in 1899 by the young energetic engineer Louis Renault along with his brothers Marcel and Fernand who managed the company. It soon became the largest car manufacturer in France through the sales of its AG1 Taxi. The brothers took part in many of the early road races across Europe and won the very first Grand Prix racing event. Alas Marcel was killed in a car crash in 1903 whilst Fernand died in 1906. Louis carried on and built the company up himself into one of the continents largest car manufacturers. He died tragically in a French prison in 1944 following unfounded accusations of collaboration. Postwar, a nationalised Renault went from strength to strength under the leadership of engineer and ex resistance fighter Pierre Lefaucheux who introduced the 4CV which rivalled the VW Beetle for popularity with sales of over half a million. In 1996 the company was privatised, the French government selling off 85%. Renault is now a huge international brand with factories across the globe.
