Founded in 1909 in Molsheim France by Italian born Ettore Bugatti who created high performance GT cars of great beauty and design. Alas Bugatti lost his son Jean whilst car testing in 1939 so when he himself past away in 1947 there was no successor to head up the company and it produced what everyone thought was its final car in the ’50’s. Today however it produces the amazing Veron from under the safety of the Volkswagen umbrella.
