The  944 was built between 1982 to 1991 and was a front engined sports car which was unusual for Porsche. A total of 113,000  were built with half going to the USA. 100 right hand drive cabrios were build and are hard to find these days. Good low milage examples of the coupe are becoming rare to find and fast becoming collectable as future classics.
