British automotive maker of high performance cars. It was established in 1989 as the road car division of the McLaren Formula One Racing group with it’s first car, the F1 released in 1992 . Their second production car was the sweetly named MP4-12C that hit the roads in 2011. The group gets its name from the racing driver Bruce McLaren who started building his own racing cars back in the late 60’s.
